For over 25 years, Daniel Morrell has treated business, science, and sound as a singular artwork. As the founder of Balance, and the creative force behind the Space Punk artist collective CHANT LIVE, Dan operates at the intersection of environmental restoration and futuristic artistic disruption. Dan co-coined the term “carbon-neutral,” a concept that evolved into the Oxford English Dictionary’s Word of the Year and sparked a global movement. Viewing this movement as an evolving living sculpture, he has since established 72 Land Art Forests in the UK and projects spanning millions of hectares globally.
This work has involved collaborations with cultural icons including The Rolling Stones, Joe Strummer, Damien Hirst, and the Warhol estate. Today, this vision manifests through Balance, a platform that repairs the damage of carbon offsetting with a fresh three-pillar approach: biodiversity, socio-economic well-being, and the fight against climate breakdown. This philosophy extends into his music via the CHANT LIVE app. More than just technology, the app is an artwork downloaded from a Space Punk artist deep in the future. By downloading it, fans turn their phone into a piece of living LAND art, empowering them to sing Trees to Life. In an era where most are trying to make the real world digital, Morrell is doing the opposite: making the digital world real. As the frontman of the CHANT LIVE collective, he pioneers Space Punk—a genre defined not by chaos, but by competence. A veteran of the underground for 10 years, his collective proved this versatility by playing eight shows in eight genres at Glastonbury last year, alongside sets at Boomtown, Shambala, and WOMAD. Whether growing alien landscapes through crystal art to capture a “flashpoint of beauty” or planting forests, Dan’s work is a unified project designed to heal the timeline.

Don Letts’ reputation has been firmly established in both the film and music world by a substantial body of work from the late 70’s through the 80’s, 90’s and well into the millennium. His work has been exhibited in The Kitchen N.Y.C, The Institute of Contemporary Art, The N.F.T in London and was honored at Brooklyn’s BAM festival and The Milan Film festival. In March 2003 he won a Grammy for his documentary ‘Westway To The World’.
He came to notoriety in the late 70’s as the DJ that single handedly turned a whole generation of punks onto reggae. It was whilst as a d.j at the first punk club ‘The Roxy’ in 1977, that Don adopted the punk D.I.Y ethic and begun to make his first film ‘The Punk Rock Movie’. Shot on Super-8mm it is the only documentary on the U.K punk scene w/ Sex Pistols-The Clash and many others. This led to a period directing over 300 music videos for an eclectic mix of diverse artists ranging from Public Image to Bob Marley. He then moved into documentary work covering the likes of Gil Scot-Heron, The Jam, Sun Ra, George Clinton and most recently Paul McCartney. Dancehall Queen (co-directedby Rick Elgood) shot in location in Jamaica 1997 was his first feature film.
At the end of 2007 Don presented ‘Speakers Corner’ in conjunction with the British Arts council. Featuring several spoken word artists, poets and rappers with a musical band in a theatrical setting. The event toured the UK in November-December and was a contemporary response to the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the British slave trade.
